CMIC HOLDINGS Reaches Agreement with SGS to Transfer All Shares of CMIC, INC.
— Advancing Global Bioanalytical Capabilities through Strategic Collaboration —

CMIC HOLDINGS Co., Ltd. (“CMIC Holdings”) announced today that it has entered into an agreement to transfer all outstanding shares of CMIC, Inc., a subsidiary of CMIC HOLDINGS group company engaged in bioanalysis operations in Chicago, Illinois, USA, to SGS NORTH AMERICA INC., a global leader in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry.

Established in 2010, CMIC, INC. has been supporting the research and development of biopharmaceuticals and advanced therapies for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in North America. Operating a 27,000-square-foot GLP-compliant facility, the company provides small and large molecule bioanalytical testing services from the preclinical to clinical stages. Leveraging its extensive expertise in nucleic acid therapeutics analysis, CMIC, INC. has delivered seamless value to clients in both Japan and the United States.

Going forward, through collaboration between CMIC Pharma Science Co., Ltd., a consolidated subsidiary of CMIC HOLDINGS operating bioanalysis laboratories in Japan, and SGS NORTH AMERICA, the companies will maintain and further strengthen a bioanalytical testing framework that ensures consistent quality standards across both Japan and the United States.

Through this global collaboration, CMIC HOLDINGS and SGS aim to enhance their bioanalytical service offerings and support the growing and increasingly complex needs of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries worldwide.
