UHPLC is a technique used to separate, identify, and quantify components. It is an advanced form of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) that utilizes higher pressures, smaller particle sizes in the stationary phase, and narrower column diameters. These enhancements result in faster separations, higher resolution, and increased sensitivity compared to conventional HPLC. UHPLC systems are coupled with various detectors for sample analysis and drug concentration determination.

Let us develop robust chromatography to support your drug development project needs using one of our Shimadzu 20/30/40 series or Waters Acquity Classic/I-Class/Premier HPLC or UHPLC systems.

MS detection coupled with UHPLC is a powerful analytical tool used to identify and quantify molecules based on their mass and charge. MS detection can also provide information about the structure of molecules and involves fragmenting ions and analyzing the masses of the resulting fragments. MS detection is highly versatile, sensitive, and accurate, making it an indispensable tool for researchers and analysts in a wide range of scientific disciplines.

Because of high-specificity analysis, our triple quad MS detectors are our first choice for the simultaneous analyses of parent drug and metabolites.  Our many Sciex 5500 and 6500+ MS detectors can meet your sensitivity needs.

FD coupled with UHPLC is a sensitive analytical tool used to detect and quantify molecules based on their ability to emit fluorescence when excited by light of a specific wavelength. FD assays offer several advantages, including high sensitivity, wide dynamic range, multiplexing capabilities, and compatibility with various sample types. These detectors are commonly used for applications such as DNA/RNA quantification, protein quantification, enzyme activity assays, immunoassays, cell-based assays, and drug discovery.

Because of the selective nature of fluorescence and through hybridization, this detector is especially useful for the analysis oligonucleotide drugs. We have developed and analyzed many oligonucleotides using our Shimadzu RF-20 detectors.

UV detection coupled with UHPLC is a common analytical tool used to detect and quantify molecules based on their absorbance of ultraviolet light. UV detection relies on the principle that certain molecules absorb ultraviolet light at specific wavelengths due to the presence of conjugated double bonds or aromatic ring structures. The amount of UV light absorbed by a molecule is proportional to its concentration. UV detection assays are valuable tools for quantitative analysis in various scientific disciplines, providing researchers with valuable insights into the concentration and properties of molecules in biological samples.

Our Shimadzu SPD-20 UV detectors will provide the accuracy needed to support your project.
