■Aims and Objectives of CMIC Group Co-sponsorship
Keith Haring is a New York artist who represents the contemporary art of the 80’s. Throughout his life, he has been involved in social activities such as child welfare education, children’s workshops around the world, and HIV/AIDS prevention awareness activities. In 1987, he worked with children in Tama City, Tokyo, to create murals. Inheriting Keith Haring’s legacy of hope, love, and peace for children’s future, the CMIC Group has been supporting ” the Nakamura Keith Haring Collection International Children’s Drawing Contest” since 2009. The purpose of the contest is to contribute to society by providing children with opportunities to freely flap their wings in a global society, with an understanding of different races, religions, cultures, and environments.
