Executive Leadership

Dr. Nakamura is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CMIC HOLDINGS Co., Ltd. He founded Japan’s first Contract Research Organization (CRO) in 1992 and played a key role in establishing the Japan CRO Association alongside three other companies in the field. He served as the Association’s secretariat for five years and later as Chairman from 1999 to 2002, contributing significantly to the growth of the Association and the CRO industry in Japan. The history of CMIC closely mirrors the evolution of CROs in the country. 
　Before founding CMIC, Dr. Nakamura was a project team leader at Sankyo Co., Ltd., where he led the development of Pravastatin, a blockbuster drug used to treat dyslipidemia and prevent cardiovascular disease. 
Dr. Nakamura earned his bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Kyoto University and his doctoral degree from the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology at Kanazawa University. 
　He stated, “CMIC Group pioneered the CRO business in Japan. We began by supporting pharmaceutical development, and today we offer a wide range of services across the entire pharmaceutical value chain—including manufacturing, sales, and marketing—based on our unique ‘Pharmaceutical Value Creator (PVC)’ business model. We also provide services to medical device manufacturers, academia, bio-ventures, and medical institutions, as well as preventive and health-enhancing services to the public. We will continue to create business models that deliver greater value and contribute to the advancement of the pharmaceutical industry.” 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Kyoto University/Ph.D. from Kanazawa University

Ms. Oishi is the President and Chief Operating Officer of CMIC HOLDINGS Co., Ltd., responsible for group-wide business execution. She joined CMIC in 1996 as Manager of the Strategy Development Department. Over the past 20 years, she has led International Business and Corporate Development, driving CMIC’s expansion across Japan, Korea, China, Singapore, Taiwan, and other Asia-Pacific regions. 

She has also played a key role in international business development, supporting foreign pharmaceutical and biotech companies in initiating regulatory and clinical operations in Japan and Asia. 

Ms. Oishi began her career at Nikkei McGraw-Hill, Inc. (now Nikkei Business Publications), as a staff writer for Nikkei Biotech, Japan’s first newsletter specializing in biotechnology. She later gained industry experience at Genzyme Japan, Ltd. and Genentech, Ltd., the Japanese branch of Genentech, Inc. in the U.S.　 With her broad international experience and strong leadership, she continues to drive CMIC’s global expansion. 

Education: Master of Science from the University of Tokyo

Title: Corporate Director, Vice Chairman, CMIC HOLDINGS Co., Ltd./President & CEO, CMIC Co., Ltd.

Mr. Katayama began his career in 1986 at Nomura Securities Co., Ltd., where he worked in strategic planning and as a research analyst specializing in the pharmaceutical sector at both Nomura and Nomura Research Institute. In 1996, he joined Goldman Sachs Japan, where he spent eight years in the investment banking division, providing strategic advisory services to leading companies across a wide range of industries including pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, retail, chemicals, entertainment, and real estate. 

Following his tenure at Goldman Sachs, Mr. Katayama held senior leadership positions at Lehman Brothers Japan and Deutsche Bank Group. After the acquisition of Lehman Brothers’ investment banking division by Nomura Securities in 2008, he continued his career at Nomura. He also served as Japan Representative for Olympus Capital Holdings Asia, a private equity fund investing across Asia. 

In 2017, Mr. Katayama founded Stockport Advisors Inc., where he advised government-affiliated financial institutions and multinational corporations on strategic and financial matters. In March 2018, he was appointed Chairman of the Board of CMIC CMO Co., Ltd. following a capital and business alliance between the Development Bank of Japan and CMIC CMO. Since May 2025, he has concurrently served as Vice Chairman of the Board at CMIC Holdings Co., Ltd. and President & CEO of CMIC Co., Ltd. (CRO business), overseeing the overall corporate strategy of the CMIC Group. 

Education: Bachelor’s degree from International Christian University (ICU); MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School 

Mr. Mitake joined CMIC Co., Ltd. in 1993 as part of the Clinical Operations Division, where he played a key role in establishing CMIC’s CRO business in Japan. From 2004 to 2007, he served as President of GreenPeptide Co., Ltd. (now BrightPath Biotherapeutics Co., Ltd.), a venture company originating from Kurume University. At GreenPeptide, he led research, development, manufacturing, and marketing of onco-immunotherapy drugs, and conducted first-in-human clinical trials in Japan for cancer peptide vaccines targeting hormone-refractory prostate cancer and glioblastoma. He successfully raised 3 billion yen in venture capital to fund Phase II trials. 
　After returning to CMIC in 2007, Mr. Mitake held several senior management positions, including Branch Office Manager, Executive Director of CMIC Korea, Corporate Officer for Business Development, President of CMIC PMS (merged in February 2018), Director of CMIC BioResearch Center, and President of CMIC HealthCare Institute Co., Ltd. From 2022 to 2025, he served as President  of CMIC Co., Ltd. 
　His innovative contributions led to CMIC obtaining a patent for a report documentation support system in the CRO industry. Prior to joining CMIC, he worked at Taiho Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. as a project leader for multiple clinical development programs. 
Inspired by his mother’s diagnosis with an undiagnosed eye disorder during his childhood, Mr. Mitake committed to a career in healthcare, focusing on the development of innovative drugs, preventive medicine, and personalized healthcare. 

Education: Bachelor of Pharmacy from Toho University; licensed pharmacist

Naoki Mochizuki works as a scientific advisor at CMIC group. After graduating Hokkaido University Graduate School of Medicine, he studied aboard in USA to perfume molecular and cellular biology of cardiovascular medicine. His focus is basic pathophysiology of noncommunicable diseases (NCD). He is also interested in communicable diseases (CD). Both NCD in developed countries and CD in developing countries affect lives in the world. His experience as basic scientist and cardiologist leverages the contribution of CMIC to society. He has served as a director general of National Cerebral and Cardiovascular center. Therefore, his knowledge, skills and principles for science, health and medicine will be shared among the member of CMIC. He realizes the importance of real data at past, present, and future and make use of the personal data towards the general global health and medicine. 

Education and Qualifications: MD, Hokkaido University School of Medicine; PhD, Hokkaido University, Graduate School of Medicine, Postdoctoral Training at University California San Diego and Tufts University (New England Medical Center, Boston)  

Title: President & CEO, Hamamatsu Pharma Research Co., Ltd. / President & CEO, CMIC Pharma Science Co., Ltd.

Dr. Takahiro Natsume serves as President & CEO of Hamamatsu Pharma Research Co., Ltd., a non-clinical CRO and member of the CMIC Group. As of October 1, 2025, he also assumed the role of President & CEO of CMIC Pharma　Science Co., Ltd., leading both companies concurrently. 

He joined Hamamatsu Pharma Research in October 2016 and has extensive experience in pharmacological studies using non-human primates and in medical image analysis. Prior to his current roles, Dr. Natsume was engaged in clinical research focused on medical image analysis as an Associated Professor at Fujita Health University. He also held positions in the Radiology Departments of Seirei Hamamatsu General Hospital and Seirei Mikatahara General Hospital in Shizuoka Prefecture. 

Education & Qualifications: Dr. Natsume graduated from the Graduate School of Health Sciences at Fujita Health University in 2003. He earned his Ph.D. in Medicine from the Graduate School of Medicine at Mie University in 2007. 

Mr. Matsubara serves as General Manager, CMIC Inizio Co., Ltd.

Previously, he held various leadership roles including President of CMIC Healthcare Instutute and General Director of CMIC Vietnam. He also served as senior director positions in New Business Development, Finance and Accounting, Corporate General Administration, ICT, Internal Audit and Risk and Crisis Management. 
Before joining CMIC in 2008, Mr. Matsubara was Director of Learning and Development at Quintiles Transnational Japan starting in 2006. Prior to that, he worked in the President’s Office at Sankyo Co., Ltd. (now Daiichi Sankyo Co., Ltd.), where he was involved in merger and divestiture negotiations. 
With over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Mr. Matsubara contributes to business expansion in Vietnam and neighboring markets. 
Education & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacokinetics from Shizuoka College of Pharmacy (Now The University of Shizuoka School of Pharmaceutical Sciences). Licensed pharmacist. 

Title: President & CEO, CMIC Healthcare Institute Co., Ltd.; Head of Site Support Solutions

Mr. Sakazaki currently serves as President of CMIC Healthcare Institute Co., Ltd., a role he assumed on October 1, 2025. He also leads the Site Support Solutions division. Since joining the CMIC Group in 2004 as a Site Management Associate (SMA) in the Site Management Organization (SMO), he has held a wide range of positions across the group, including roles in CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization), the healthcare business, and CMIC Holdings. These experiences have given him a comprehensive understanding of the industry’s operations. 
He draws on this diverse background to drive business development and oversee organizational management. Prior to joining CMIC, Mr. Sakazaki worked in a completely different industry, which has equipped him with a unique perspective and a multifaceted approach—strengths that enhance his strategic thinking and planning capabilities.

 
Education & Qualifications: Graduated from Nippon Sport Science University (NSSU), majoring in Sports Science. Holds a national certification as a Career Consultant in the field of human resources.

Title: Executive Vice President, CMIC Healthcare Institute Co., Ltd. Head of Site Support Solutions Business

Mr. Hasegawa has been engaged in clinical development for over 25 years, starting his career at Fuji Biomedix Co., Ltd. as a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) and Study Management Associate (SMA). After working at Sugi Medical Support Co., Ltd., he joined Site Support Institute Co., Ltd. (SSI), where he continued to contribute to the advancement of clinical trial operations. 

Since FY2024, Mr. Hasegawa has served as the head of the SSI Company (Site Management Organization business) within CMIC Healthcare Institute Co., Ltd., overseeing the Site Support Solutions business and driving strategic initiatives in clinical site management. 

Education & Qualifications:　Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Setsunan University,  Licensed Pharmacist 

Title: Division Director, CMIC Career Business/ CEO, CMIC Solutions Co., Ltd.

Ms. Kasai is the Division Director of CMIC Career Business. Until 2020, she served as President of CMIC Career Co., Ltd. She currently also serves as a Director of CMIC Healthcare Institute Co., Ltd.
She oversees CMIC Group’s HR services, focusing mainly on BPO in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, and is particularly dedicated to supporting recruitment, temporary staffing, and the placement of contract employees in the medical field.
Ms. Kasai joined CMIC BS Co., Ltd. (currently CMIC Solutions Co., Ltd.) in 2007 as a site manager, transitioning from the pharmacovigilance department of a foreign-affiliated pharmaceutical company.
Prior to joining the CMIC Group, she gained diverse experience across various industries, serving in roles such as elementary school teacher; director and general manager of sales at a publicly listed company; manager of planning; manager of product development; art director; and director of a resort hotel. These experiences have given her a broad perspective and extensive practical expertise.
Since becoming affiliated with CMIC, she has contributed to society by supporting healthcare professionals. As one of her future goals, she is actively working on developing new management models for nursing care facilities to contribute to an aging society, and is also promoting employment support for people with disabilities in welfare initiatives. 

Education & Qualifications: Bachelor of Education in Child Psychology.
Holds teaching licenses for Elementary School (Type 1), Junior High School (Type 1) and High School (Type 2). Certified Executive Coach and Executive Career Consultant. 

Mr. Echigo is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Japan. After graduating from the University of Tokyo, he began his career in 2001 as an accounting auditor at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC and officially registered as a CPA in April 2004. 
　Until 2019, he was engaged in various financial services including audits under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act for listed companies, IPO support, M&A advisory, and IFRS consulting. From 2012 to 2016, he was seconded to Deloitte Vietnam’s Hanoi office as part of the Japanese Service Group, where he handled multiple global transactions and organized tax seminars. He also served as sub-leader of the Tax Committee at the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam. 
　Mr. Echigo joined CMIC Group in August 2019 and worked primarily at CMIC CMO Co., Ltd. From June 2021 to September 2024, he served as CFO of CMIC CMO, overseeing corporate management, financial accounting, and the formulation and administration of mid-term management plans and budgets. He was appointed as CFO of CMIC HOLDINGS in October 2024, and he has been in charge of corporate management, financial accounting, the formulation and administration of budgets. 

Education: Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tokyo 
Qualification: Certified Public Accountant (Japan) 

Mr. Kobayashi has over 15 years of experience in M&A and licensing within the healthcare industry. He began his career at Lazard Frères, where he was engaged in domestic and cross-border M&A advisory services, primarily for healthcare clients. He later joined FUJIFILM Corporation, where he worked in business development for the pharmaceutical division and the bio-CDMO division, gaining extensive experience in various M&A and licensing transactions. 

Subsequently, Mr. Kobayashi joined MTS Health Partners, where he continued to focus on advisory services in healthcare licensing and M&A. He ultimately served as Managing Director and Head of the Healthcare Services team. In April 2025, he joined CMIC HOLDINGS Co., Ltd., where he currently leads the Group Strategy Office.,  

Education: University of California, Irvine (B.A.), The University of Tokyo, Graduate School (M.A.) 

Tomoko Goto is a seasoned business leader with extensive experience in management consulting, global pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing. She began her career at Booz Allen Hamilton (now PwC Strategy&), where she led various projects in business process reengineering and marketing strategy.  

At Takeda Pharmaceutical Company and Eli Lilly, she was responsible for product launches, global marketing, and post-merger integration, including an overseas assignment. She later served as an Executive Officer at VALQUA, where she led corporate strategy execution, HR transformation, supply chain optimization, and strategic alliances. 

In April 2025, she joined CMIC Holdings. With a life mission to “maximize the potential of people and organizations,” she continues to contribute to the advancement of the healthcare industry and the enhancement of corporate value through her global insights and leadership. 

Education: Bachelor’s degree from University of Tokyo; MA from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies; MBA with Distinction from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth  

Ms. Sakurai graduated from Hitotsubashi University, majoring in Organizational Development, Change Management, Cultural Shift, and Transformational Leadership. She began her career at RECRUIT Holdings in the HR Business Unit, where she worked for 12 years as an HR consulting sales professional. She supported over 500 clients across various industries, sizes, and growth stages, providing strategic HR consulting and talent planning aligned with each organization’s growth goals. 
　In addition to client-facing roles, she played a key role in internal talent development and contributed to strategic planning for HR-related products and services. After leaving RECRUIT, she co-founded her own company and spent five years focusing on organizational transformation through the concept of “Being,” helping individuals and organizations evolve from within. 
She also supported international companies entering the Japanese market, leading organizational building and scaling from the ground up. 
　Ms. Sakurai later joined Abbott Japan, a U.S.-based medical device company, where she served for six years as Head of HR and Talent Acquisition. Under her leadership, the Japan team received multiple APAC and global awards for initiatives in diversity & inclusion, branding, international talent acquisition and development, and talent market analysis. 
　In 2023, she completed the “Fundamental Business Leadership” program at IMD Business School in Switzerland. She joined CMIC Holdings in 2023 as Director of Strategic Group HR, and in 2024, she was appointed CHRO to lead the CMIC Group’s HR strategy. 

Education: Bachelor’s degree from Hitotsubashi University

Mr. Mochizuki joined CMIC in 2005 as an executive officer for internal control and corporate finance. In 2012, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and since then has been responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations. In 2024, he was appointed the Representative Director, Vice Chairman. 
　Prior to joining CMIC, Mr. Mochizuki served as a corporate officer for finance at a U.S.-based networking device venture company, where he led the company to a successful IPO on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. He has held various senior finance roles, contributing to corporate strategy development and cross-functional collaboration from a financial perspective. 
　Although he began his career outside the healthcare industry, Mr. Mochizuki later joined Site Support Institute Co., Ltd., a Site Management Organization within the CMIC Group. As the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries underwent significant transformation, he became part of CMIC’s leadership team, driving innovation through the introduction of new services and products. 

Education: Bachelor of Arts in Commerce, Waseda University

Mr. Saito joined CMIC in 2019 and has led the Legal and Compliance team at CMIC Group, supporting the company from both perspectives of guardian and business partner. He is an attorney admitted in Japan and the State of New York, USA. Mr. Saito started private practice as a lawyer in 1992 and has worked at multiple large US and Japanese law firms including a career in the USA from 1997 to 2002. After working at CITY YUWA Partners as a partner, Mr. Saito joined GE as an in-house counsel in 2007 and then worked at Shinsei bank as a manager of legal division, AIG Japan as a general counsel until 2018. Besides legal practice, Mr. Saito serves as a mediator at Tokyo Bar Association, Trust Association, Nuclear Damage Compensation Dispute Resolution Center and as a member of Financial ADR committee at Financial Services Agency (FSA). Mr. Saito has been teaching business law at Meiji University Law School and Business School, and also financial law at Tsukuba University Law School since 2013.

Mr. Sano is the Academy Head of CMIC HOLDINGS Co., Ltd.

Prior to joining CMIC, Mr. Sano served as Executive Vice President and Director at SAGAN DREAMS CO., LTD, an operating company of a professional football team.

Mr. Sano joined CMIC in 2008 as a President of CMIC-MPSS Co. Ltd., currently a joint venture company of CMIC Ashfield Co., Ltd., that focuses on Contract Sales Organization (CSO) business within CMIC Group. Since 2013, he has held various senior management positions, such as Head of Secretarial Office, Human Capital Development Center Director and Liaison Officer.

Mr. Sano has his bachelor’s degree of Faculty of Engineering from Kyoto University.

Dr. Shimoto is the Chairman of Orphanpacific Inc. and the Division Director of Market Solution business unit of CMIC HOLDINGS. He joined the company in June 2021. Prior to joining CMIC, Dr. Shimoto served as Executive Vice President, Clinical Development at Daiichi Sankyo RD Novare Co., Ltd., and was responsible for oversight of clinical studies/clinical researches execution and corporate management. He also had served as Vice President of Global Project Management and Asia Development at Daiichi Sankyo Co., Ltd., and was responsible for portfolio/project management of R&D and clinical study implementation in Asian region, respectively. He provided scientific/regulatory input to the development of an antisense oligonucleotide for duchenne muscular dystrophy, as External Director of Orphan Disease Treatment Institute. He studied abroad at the University of Tokyo in 1988-1989, and at University of Michigan in 1992-1993 as a researcher. He also worked in US as a project manager at Daiichi Pharmaceutical Inc. in 1999-2005.

Dr. Shimoto received a master’s degree in Pharmacy from Chiba University and a doctoral degree from the University of Tokyo.

Mr. Kuwajima joined CMIC in 2019 and is currently the Corporate Director and Vice Chairman of CMIC HOLDINGS Co., Ltd, responsible for strategic management of CMIC Group.

He is also the Chairman of CMIC HealthCare Institute Co., Ltd., which is one of the subsidiaries of CMIC Group which focuses on site and patient activities such as Site Management Organization (SMO) and other healthcare related services. Additionally, he is the Representative Director and Chairman of CMIC Career Co., Ltd., which offers human resource services focusing on the pharmaceutical industry.

In 1997, he was Representative Director of IBRD JAPAN Co., Ltd., which is a CRO company established in 1992. He also served on the board of the Japan CRO Association. In 2006, Mr. Kuwajima established and became the president of Medi-Skette Corporation, a company that provides support for collecting data from clinical trials, post-marketing surveillance and other pharmaceutical studies. Prior to joining CMIC, he served as an Executive Officer at MEDICEO CORPORATION, where he was in charge of Academia Support, Sales Division.

With his broad experience and strong leadership, he brings new ideas and actively takes the lead in creating innovative healthcare services in CMIC Group.

Mr. Kuwajima has a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Toho University. Pharmacist.

Mr. Kuwajima joined CMIC in 2019 and is currently the Corporate Director and Vice Chairman of CMIC HOLDINGS Co., Ltd, responsible for strategic management of CMIC Group.

Mr. Kuwajima has a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Toho University. Pharmacist.

Mike is the President & CEO of CMIC, INC., located in Hoffman Estates, Illinois (near Chicago O’Hare Airport), an emerging lab CRO and a service provider specialized in BioAnalysis for supporting pre-clinical TK and clinical PK/PD biomarker studies during development of biologics and oligonucleotides as well as small molecule pharmaceuticals. The company started lab operation at its purpose-built GLP facility as JCL Bioassay USA in 2010, and joined CMIC Group through acquisition in 2015. Since then, Mike has been in this Chicago-based leadership position, and also led strategic facility investment in 2017, along with CMIC’s new U.S. client base expansion after acquisition and integration.
Prior to joining CMIC, Mike was the Deputy General Manager of GE Healthcare’s CT/MRI contrast media in-vivo diagnostics and PET/SPECT radio-pharmaceuticals division in Japan, where he was the first employee soon after GE’s acquisition of former Amersham, and was responsible for establishing a new pharmaceutical operation reporting into GE Healthcare’s U.K. Headquarters. While at GE, Mike was not only leading a number of pharmaceutical and IP licensing (e.g., Daiichi Sankyo, Sumitomo Chemical, Fujifilm) and regulatory authority (PMDA/MHLW) negotiations, but also was heavily involved in clinical trials (GCP) and CMC development (GMP) both globally (Phase III ~ Post-approval) and regionally(Asian-Caucasian bridging Phase I~II).
Mike started his 30-year professional career as a tissue culture and genomics scientist at JT (now a.k.a. Akros) genetic engineering lab, and later spent five years in New York and San Francisco as JT’s recombinant DNA business development manager. Mike earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in agricultural biosciences from University of Tokyo. He also completed GE’s internal executive training program at its Crotonville, New York main campus.

Mr. Keino is the President of CMIC Healthcare Co., Ltd. and Senior Vice President of CMIC HOLDINGS Co., Ltd. He joined the CMIC CRO business development group in 1999. Since joining CMIC, he has held leadership roles related to the SMO business startup (in 2001), the CRO business startup in China (in 2005), the SMO business turnaround (in 2007), and the management of the Asian business (in 2010). Since 2015, he has managed CMIC’s Healthcare business. As President of CMIC Healthcare Co., Ltd., Mr. Keino’s mission is to facilitate healthcare innovation by providing comprehensive service solutions in the areas of patient record keeping and patient information sharing. Prior to joining CMIC, Mr. Keino worked at the administrative scrivener’s office supporting documentation and submission of certifications and registrations for medical devices. Mr. Keino received a bachelor’s degree in French Literature from Meiji Gakuin University.

Mr. Lee has been a Representative Director and President of CMIC CMO Korea since 2014. He is responsible for manufacturing supervision (Ointment/Cream/Gel) and quality assurance/control. He joined CMIC CMO Korea as a plant manager and director of production in 2008. He has extensive experience in GMP manufacturing and quality assurance/control in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to joining CMIC CMO Korea, Mr. Lee served as senior leader and senior manager for quality assurance/control of Korea Otsuka Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. and was responsible for managing application and approval work of Asian and Arab registrations. In this capacity, he supervised manufacturing, evaluated operations, and oversaw facilities and equipment capital investments. Mr. Lee started his career in quality assurance/control at SAMIL Pharmaceutical Co. in 1992, helping the company obtain certifications of domestic and foreign GMP. Dr. Mayer is the External Corporate Director of CMIC HOLDINGS Co., Ltd.. Dr. Mayer received his BA and Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Suzuki has been the Chief Scientific Officer of CMIC HOLDINGS since October 2014. He is responsible for evaluating new businesses, especially in next-generation antibodies, medium- and large-molecule drugs, and diagnostics and biomarkers, from the scientific point of view. Prior to joining CMIC, Dr. Suzuki served in several roles at Takeda Pharmaceuticals beginning in 1980. As Director of Frontier Research Laboratories, he led several projects for the development of regenerative medicines, nucleic acid medicines and peptide medicines. As the pharmacology group leader, Dr. Suzuki also led projects for the development for GnRH antagoists, insulin secretagogues, and small-molecule G-protein coupled receptor of anti-obesity drugs. His involvement in the development of Sandwich-ELISA, the measurement system of Amyloid β40/42, contributed to the pathology understanding of Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Suzuki said that he would contribute to the innovative drug development for new modalities like next-generation antibodies, cyclic peptide and nucleic acid. Dr. Suzuki earned a master’s degree in Chemistry from Kyoto University and a doctoral degree from Gifu Pharmaceutical University. He was a visiting research fellow at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio in 1993.
